Both are cleaning agents, but each has its own role. SLES is gentle on the hands and gives thick foam, so it goes into shampoo and liquid soap.
LABSA is stronger at removing grease and dirt, so it is the base of washing powder and floor cleaners. Dishwashing liquid usually combines the two.
No. Its concentration is much higher than household bleach, which is usually between 3% and 6%. It must be diluted with water before use, and handled with gloves.
Never mix it with acids or with cleaners containing ammonia, because this releases a toxic gas.
Because it breaks down gradually, faster with heat and sunlight. Store it in a dark, cool place and use it within a few months of receiving it.
